Nima came from a hoarding situation, so the world can feel scary at first. In the shelter, he was very shut down and fearful, but in foster he warmed up quickly and started showing his true personality. He *loves* his people and absolutely LOVES to play—he’s a goofy boy who would enjoy a canine playmate of any size (his current foster buddy is a 50lb bully mix). Nima can still get nervous in new situations and has some “stranger danger,” so he’ll need a patient home that lets him adjust at his own pace. He currently lives with dogs, cats, and a preschooler. He’s learning that cats aren’t for chasing (even if they seem to start it), and he’s wary of young kids—he’d do best with older children who respect his space or in an adult-only home. He’d love to sleep in bed with you, though he’s still figuring out how to fully relax. He’s somewhat housebroken—he’ll go potty outside, but often chooses to poop indoors. The good news? He’s very food motivated and eager to learn. Oh—and Nima sports an old injury over his eye that gives him a little “John Wayne” edge, adding just the right amount of rugged charm to his goofy personality. Nima may take a little time to settle in, but once he does, you’ll get a playful, loyal, and wonderfully goofy companion.
