Siberian Husky Dogs Available for Adoption in Bedford Hills, New York

Hello, my name is Loki. I am a very handsome three year-old Siberian Husky weighing in around 52 pounds. I recently came to New York from North Carolina where I was surrendered by my owner to the local shelter. Unfortunately, my family was moving and for whatever reason, they couldn’t take me with them. Of course this made me sad, but I’m looking forward to finding a new family to make memories with.

I’m very grateful for my last family teaching me so many things, like how to go to the bathroom outside, how to sleep in a crate, basic commands, and how to make friends with other animals. I enjoy being around other dogs and I am even friendly with cats! I’m just an all-around friendly guy. You will notice it right off the bat as soon as we meet because I will lean myself up against you. I’m basically asking to be pet and to be loved. So far, I have not met one person I don’t like. I’m just an all-around happy guy who is looking for someone to give me good exercise in a nice stable, forever home.

Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog.

We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. The Siberian Husky is a medium sized working dog breed known for its striking appearance and friendly demeanor.
