DESCRIPTION
Theodore (aka Teddy) is a sweet 13 year 8 months old Shih tzu that weighs 16 lbs. The poor boy had a owner for 10 years until she had to go into a nursing home then he moved to another apartment in the same building for 2 years until that new mom got sick and could no longer take care of him. We didn't know if he would be happy in a foster home because of all the dogs there but he fits right in and has been amazing. He has found his spot to sleep in his dog bed and seems to love the hectic household. It took him a couple weeks to want to jump up and sit in the lounge chair but that's his favorite place to be. Teddy has been recently diagnosed with small kidney stones so he has been put on a special dry dog food diet. The vet seems to think the new diet will clear up his stones. You would never know that Teddy is 13+. He gets the zoomies and just runs around the house. Teddy would love to have a final home where he can be loved on and treated like the special boy that he is. If you would like to be that person please apply at gfrpets.org/apply/adoptdog/. Teddy's adoption fee is $300. He has been neutered, microchipped, had recent bloodwork, current on core vaccines, heartworm tested (negative), and on heartworm and flea preventon.
