Suds - Shih Tzu Dog Available for Adoption in San Antonio, Texas

Meet Sudz, a resilient and charming survivor who has undergone a total 180 and is officially living his absolute best life. Rescued from a severe case of hoarding and neglect, Sudz arrived with a painful infection that required the removal of one eye. If you met him today, however, you would never guess he had a rough start. Sudz is filled with a deep, quiet appreciation for his new life, and though he has no tail to wag, his entire body radiates pure happiness. He is the ultimate proof that love and a safe space can heal any past.

Sudz has flourished beautifully in his foster home by mirroring his resident mini Goldendoodle, using his canine foster sibling to quickly build his confidence and learn the ropes of just being a dog. Because of this, he would absolutely thrive in a forever home with a confident dog friend to follow. He is incredibly well-mannered and a total gentleman at meal times, waiting patiently for his food while showing the sweetest, quiet excitement. He has a great appetite, shows zero food aggression, and already knows how to "sit" and give "paw" before he eats. He is even a champ at taking his medicine with no fuss at all.

When it comes to routine, Sudz is a foster parent's dream. He loves playing with balls and is perfectly content entertaining himself solo. When it's time for bed, he sleeps soundly through the night in his crate, offering just a couple of brief, polite whimpers before drifting off until morning, when he goes potty outside like a pro. Sudz is a completely renewed dog who is just looking for a patient, loving family to share his bright future with.
