At just 1–2 years old and around 10 pounds, this precious Terrier/Shih Tzu mix has a gentle soul and a heart overflowing with love. Luna’s favorite place in the world isn’t a fancy dog bed or a big backyard — it’s you. Curled up in your lap. Resting on your chest. Snuggled as close to your face as you’ll let her. If love could be measured in pounds, Luna would weigh a thousand.

Luna is a quiet, sensitive little girl who thrives in calm environments. She’s submissive, gentle, and has the sweetest spirit. She gets along well with calm dogs but prefers peaceful coexistence over roughhousing or busy play groups. New dogs can make her nervous, and because she frightens easily, she needs patient humans who will help her continue learning that the world can be kind.

Because of her sensitive nature, Luna would do best in a home without young children. She needs a family who will respect her boundaries, move gently with her heart, and understand that trust is something precious she gives carefully.

Luna is house trained, does well in a kennel for short periods, and is wonderfully quiet indoors. Outside, she may let you know if deer wander nearby — she likes keeping watch over her kingdom. Because of her tiny size, she cannot be left outside alone and needs someone nearby to keep her safe from hawks and wildlife.

Luna has likely had reasons to learn caution in life… but despite that, she still chooses love. She still chooses closeness. She still chooses people.

Now she just needs someone to choose her.
