Meet Sonny's Red River an 8 month old Shepherd mix weighing in at around 30 lbs and packed full of heart, resilience, and adventure spirit. He is a little smaller than his sister, Copperas, with a cute white patch on his nose.

When Sonny first arrived to FairyTails, he was incredibly sick and fighting an uphill battle. Thankfully, one of our experienced foster homes stepped in and provided him with around-the-clock care, patience, and love. Because of that dedication, Sonny overcame every illness he arrived with and is now officially healthy, thriving, and cleared for adoption!

Now this handsome boy is ready for the next chapter of his story - a family of his very own.

Sonny would make the perfect adventure buddy, living up to his Red River Gorge-inspired name. Whether its hiking trails, exploring creeks, road trips, or simply enjoying life beside his people, Sonny is ready to be your sidekick through it all.

He has the sweetest soulful eyes, an eager personality, and that loyal Shepherd mix charm that makes you fall in love fast.

All rescues at FairyTails are fully ready to join your family! Our PETS come to you dewormed, fully vetted, spayed/neutered, dental exam, heart worm tested, flea/tick & heartworm monthly preventative, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, bathed and professionally groomed! They are housed either in foster homes or in house at our facility in warm, spacious suites, with plenty of food, water, toys and attention.

The shepherd dog breed encompasses a versatile group known for their intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic. With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions.
