DESCRIPTION
Harlow is a gentle, timid 3-4‑month‑old shepherd‑mix puppy who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Found as a stray and clearly underweight, she has spent the last couple of weeks decompressing and showing us who she is at heart: a quiet, cautious puppy who absolutely lights up around other dogs. Harlow is very dog‑social and even began to play when she saw other dogs enjoying toys. She avoids people when she's unsure, but she relaxed noticeably when a friendly cat approached her, suggesting she may do well with calm animals who help her feel secure. Harlow lived outdoors before arriving at PCHS, is not yet housetrained or crate trained, and doesn't know basic cues—but at her age, she is a blank slate ready to learn with patience and gentle guidance. She enjoys morning and evening meals, loves the company of other dogs, and is happiest when she can quietly observe from a safe spot. Harlow will thrive in a calm home with a confident resident dog and an adopter who understands shy puppies and is willing to go slow. She is available for direct adoption or transfer to a trusted partner.
