DESCRIPTION
Lana and her 5 siblings were born to their mother Gloria on March 25th in a shelter not far from our rescue. At 3 days old, they came into our care. They have spent the last almost 8 weeks growing up and are almost ready to head home to their forever families.
Lana has been the largest of her brood since day one. She also was the most advanced. This beautiful girl was only 3 weeks old and venturing out to explore her surroundings before her siblings even woke up. She is definitely well respected in her miniature family and leads them around gently while still looking forward to what is new around every corner.
Lana will most likely grow to be as big as her 65 pound mom. She has long legs and thick, dense fur. She's not vocal (nor is her mom) and finds joy in toys and treats. At nearly 8 weeks old, their personalities are still developing, but we see her being an amazing companion/hiking partner for her future person one day when she's done being a playful pup.
Lana is up to date on her vaccinations, on flea, tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped and has been on a deworming schedule since she was 2 weeks old. She and her siblings enjoy Purina Proplan puppy kibble and any puppy snack you can offer.
We are based in Texas but adopt to multiple states. Our goal is always to find the very best match for each pup, and we work with trusted transport partners to safely deliver them to their forever homes.
Puppies in our care who are 6 months or older are spayed or neutered through Good Catch; for younger puppies, this responsibility falls to the adopter.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The shepherd dog breed encompasses a versatile group known for their intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic. With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions. Their protective nature makes them excellent family pets, offering unwavering devotion and a natural instinct to watch over and care for their loved ones. In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
