For nearly two months, Custard lived on the streets—only coming out at dusk, trusting just one kind human enough to toss him beef jerky from afar. What saved him? His love for other dogs. The moment he met one, his guard melted… and that’s how we finally got him safe.

Now, Custard is the sweetest, bounciest little doodle with a soft heart and even softer eyes. He adores other dogs, finds comfort in his kennel, and is almost fully potty trained. He’ll gently tell you when he needs a little more time on his walks.

He’s still learning the world is safe. Loud voices and fast movements can scare him, so he’s looking for a calm, patient home that will move at his pace, build his confidence, and show him love doesn’t disappear. Soft voices, gentle hands, and yummy treats will win him over fast.

Custard didn’t give up on people… even when he had every reason to. Now he’s just waiting for someone who won’t give up on him. 💛

As with all of our rescues, this pupper comes fixed, dewormed, fully vaccinated for the year (Rabies, Distemper Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, 4 strains of Leptospirosis, Bordetella), Microchipped (with free transfer), heartworm tested (we fully fund treatment if positive) and current on both flea and heartworm preventative.

The Sheepadoodle is a popular and affectionate designer dog breed that is a cross between a purebred Old English Sheepdog and a Poodle. Known for their playful and intelligent nature, Sheepadoodles are great family pets and excel in therapy and service work. These fluffy and hypoallergenic dogs have a unique coat that requires regular grooming to prevent matting.
