Boris and his brother Ivan are two young puppies who should have been safe at home—but instead were found abandoned on 3 Mile Rd near Diamond Lake, completely on their own. At only a few months old, they were left without food, shelter, or anyone looking out for them—an incredibly dangerous situation for puppies this young and vulnerable. It’s hard to know how long they were out there, but what’s certain is that they were relying on each other just to get through it.
Since arriving, they’ve been working hard on important life skills like “how to stop tripping over your own feet” and “is that my brother or a moving chew toy?”
Boris, the “looks like a tiny St. Bernard who hasn’t grown into his paws yet”, tends to approach life like a gentle giant-in-training. Ivan, his equally large and slightly more chaotic counterpart, is right there beside him making sure no moment goes un-goofed.
Despite their clumsy antics, both boys have shown they’re quick learners who are ready to soak up training, structure, and all the love they missed out on early on. They didn’t get the start they deserved, but they’re safe now—and ready for a future that looks very different from their past.
If you’re ready for a large, lovable project who will keep you laughing daily (and maybe accidentally knock into you a few times along the way), Boris or Ivan might just be your guy.
