Canela was rescued from a dangerous wooded area in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, where she was found abandoned alongside her siblings. As the smallest of the litter, she was malnourished and deeply afraid of her surroundings when she was saved. Her life changed completely when she went to the veterinary clinic to be fully vaccinated and spayed, before being taken into the loving home of her foster mom, Betty. Growing up in a busy foster home surrounded by many other incoming rescue animals, Canela has blossomed into an incredibly gentle, happy, and social girl. She is wonderfully submissive, friendly, and completely comfortable around other pets. This sweet island treasure is a total sweetheart who gets along beautifully with other dogs and absolutely loves to play. Once she burns off her happy energy, she is a world-class snuggler who lives for human attention and cuddles. With her gorgeous warm coat and loving heart, she is ready to bring so much joy to her lucky adopters.
