Annie is the kind of dog who may not be the first to run up and say hellobut give her a little time, and youll watch her blossom into something really special.
This 2.5-year-old, 50 lb black retriever mix is a sweet, gentle girl with a slightly shy sideespecially when new people come into the home. But once she feels comfortable, her personality really opens up, and thats when her more playful, energetic side starts to shine.
According to her previous home, Annie does have a higher energy level, and were already seeing glimpses of that as she settles in. Shell do best with regular exercise, playtime, and a family willing to give her a little time to build confidence. We also think Annie would absolutely love having a canine playmate againanother friendly dog could really help bring out her fun, confident side.
Annie does wonderfully with kids and has a kind, easygoing nature. Shes house trained and crate trained, rides great in the car, and has nice overall manners. On leash, she may pull a bit when something catches her interest, but shes very manageable and improving.
She has a sleek black coat with a touch of longer, feathered fur in places, giving her that classic retriever look with just a little extra softness.
Annie isnt the life of the party right awaybut shes the kind of dog who forms a deeper bond over time. Once she trusts you, youll have a loyal, loving companion whos equal parts sweet and playful.
