Meet Patches

Patches is a 1-year-old, 40 lb Rat Terrier mix with the sweetest soul and a love for snuggles. She’s the perfect mix of affectionate and playful — happiest curled up next to her people or enjoying time outside with her favorite chew toys.

She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you — she warms up quickly and becomes a loyal, loving companion in no time. Once she feels comfortable, Patches is incredibly affectionate and will happily soak up all the cuddles you have to give.

Patches enjoys the company of other dogs and does especially well with male dogs. She also does great with kids and would make a wonderful addition to a family home. She hasn’t been around cats yet.

She’s a smart girl, too! Patches already knows commands like sit and paw, walks well on leash, and is both crate trained and potty trained.

Patches can be a little protective of her food and favorite toys around other dogs, so she’ll do best with a home that can manage feeding times separately and give her space when enjoying high-value items. She does great with people and this is a very manageable behavior with simple structure.
