Little Beau is a 10-year-old male rescue dog with a heartbreaking past, but despite everything he has endured, he continues to show resilience and a gentle, loving spirit. After suffering years of neglect and abuse, Beau is finally safe and ready to find the forever home he has always deserved.

Since coming into rescue, Beau has received extensive veterinary care to address the medical issues caused by his difficult history. He has been successfully treated for heartworms and given comprehensive dental treatment. Due to severe dental disease all of his teeth had to be removed, so Beau is now completely toothless. Thankfully, he has adapted well and continues to enjoy soft foods, treats, and all the comfort and affection that come with being cared for.

Veterinarians have also evaluated injuries to Beau's spine, including three damaged vertebrae believed to be the result of past abuse. While he has made significant progress with treatment and supportive care, he appears to have reached the maximum recovery possible. Because of this, Beau may always have some physical limitations and would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can relax and feel safe.

What Beau loves most is simply being close to his people. He enjoys curling up beside you on the sofa and quietly soaking up affection and companionship. He also gets along well with other calm, low-key dogs who match his gentle energy and respectful nature.
