Sugarplum is a gentle, loving little poodle with a soft spirit and so much love to give. She may be a bit shy at first and needs some time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she becomes a devoted and affectionate companion.

She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys calm, relaxed strolls. Sugarplum would do best in a home with another friendly dog to help her feel secure and show her the ropes. She also does well with older, respectful children who understand that she may need a little space as she settles in. She is crate and potty trained, regression is common with a change in environment.

Sugarplum has been through quite a bit and is looking for a compassionate adopter who will continue to support her care. She has had a dental procedure with extractions and has undergone surgery to remove both mammary chains due to multiple mammary tumors. She also has a stage 3 heart murmur, which will require daily medication for the rest of her life, along with annual checkups with a cardiologist to ensure she stays as healthy as possible.

Despite everything she's been through, Sugarplum has a quiet resilience and a sweet nature that shines through. With patience, understanding, and love, she will blossom into a deeply loyal companion.
