Poodle Dogs Available for Adoption in New Orleans, Louisiana

Meet Bishop-or Mr. Bishop, if you prefer, because he is quite the bougie little gentleman!
This handsome, 1.5-year-old Miniature Toy Poodle weighs a perfect 12 pounds and is ready to bring a touch of luxury (and a whole lot of love) to his forever home. He sadly found himself in a high-intake rural shelter in Southeast Louisiana after his previous owner moved out of the country and couldn't take him along. Despite the sudden change, this resilient little guy hasn't lost an ounce of his charm.
We say he's a bit on the "bougie" side because Mr. Bishop knows exactly what he likes! His perfect daily routine includes:
Filtered water only, thank you very much.
A specific menu: His kibble must be moistened, slightly warmed to his precise liking, and mixed with turkey-his absolute poultry of choice!

While he has royal tastes, he's fully prepared and ready to rule his new kingdom with a clean bill of health:
Neutered
Fully up-to-date on vaccinations
Microchipped
Heartworm negative

Mr. Bishop is a lover, but he prefers his social circle to match his petite stature:
Dog-Friendly: He does wonderful with dogs his own size or smaller!
Big Dogs: Larger pups can be a bit intimidating for this 12-pound gentleman, so he'd prefer a home without giant canine roommates.
Feline Friends: The jury is still out on cats! He hasn't told us his thoughts on kitties just yet.
Personality
Don't let the refined culinary preferences fool you-at heart, he is the sweetest, most down-to-earth companion you could ask for. He is incredibly affectionate and guaranteed to bring immense happiness, warmth, and entertainment to the lucky family. Mr. Bishop is looking for a family who will appreciate his quirky, upscale tastes and give him the spoiled, loving life he truly deserves.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
