Pomeranian Dogs Available for Adoption in Pointe-fortune, Quebec

Hey there, Ti-Loup here. Yes, I’m 14½ years young, and no, I haven’t retired from life just yet. I still have plenty of pep in my step and every intention of enjoying the good things in life — cozy naps, leisurely walks, good meals, and most importantly, being close to my person.

I arrived at the Animatch Centre with my friend Maggie, who has already found her new family. As for me, I’m patiently waiting for my turn after our beloved human sadly had to move into hospice care.

Now, let’s clear something up about senior dogs. “Old” does not mean boring. Sure, you’ll often catch me snoozing — I’ve earned that privilege — but in between naps, I’m happiest shadowing my human from room to room. Need company while making coffee? I’m there. Folding laundry? I’ll supervise. Heading to another room? Don’t worry, I’m right behind you.

I still enjoy a few walks every day and like taking in the sights and smells at my own distinguished pace. I also tolerate brushing quite nicely and apparently I’m a perfect gentleman at the groomer’s. A bath and a good brushing? Wonderful. Shaving? Absolutely not. Let’s not get carried away.

While I do get along with other dogs, I’m at the age where I appreciate calm, respectful companions. The wild antics of puppies and goofy teenage dogs are no longer my style. I feel the same way about tiny humans with busy little hands — I’ve never lived with children and would much prefer a quieter home where I can relax and enjoy life.

After 14½ years, I’ve become very good at being a loyal and loving companion. All I want now is someone special to share my golden years with. I may be a senior, but my heart is still full of love to give. If you think we could make each day count together, fill in an application and come meet me.
