Meet Sandy: The Playful Social Butterfly
Sandy is a happy-go-lucky young pup with endless enthusiasm, a playful spirit, and a heart full of love.
-9-month-old spayed female
-Pointer mix with a beautiful brindle-and-white coat
-53 lbs – sturdy, wiggly, and still very much a growing puppy
-Arrived at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/18/26
-Friendly, social, and eager to interact with people and dogs
-Loves to play and thrives in active environments
-High-energy girl who would love an adopter ready for adventures and training
-Strong play style, best matched with large, playful dogs
-Can become overexcited and mouthy when stimulated, so continued impulse-control training will help her succeed
-Walks with enthusiasm and is eager to explore the world around her
-Enjoys running, chasing, and engaging with dog friends in playgroups
-Recommended for an adult-only home due to her exuberant puppy energy
-No small dogs due to resource-guarding tendencies around other animals
-Would benefit from structure, consistency, and continued socialization as she matures
Sandy is the definition of a goofy teenage pup. She’s playful, energetic, and always ready for fun. Beneath all that excitement is a social, affectionate girl who truly enjoys being around people and dogs alike.
