Meet Mathilda & Eleanor — A Bonded Pair Ready for Their Happy Ending
If you remember the story of two young dogs found tied inside a garbage bag, severely malnourished and fighting just to survive — these are those girls.
After nearly two months of healing, recovery, and learning that the world can be kind, Mathilda and Eleanor are finally ready to find their forever home — together.
These beautiful sisters, estimated to be around 1½–2 years old, surprised us all when their DNA results came back showing they are mostly pit mixes — and biologically sisters! What didn’t surprise us, though, is how incredibly loving and trusting they are despite everything they’ve been through. Their resilience has been nothing short of amazing.
While they share an unbreakable bond, each girl has her own unique personality:
Mathilda is the easygoing one — calm, relaxed, and happiest curled up next to her people. She’s a professional snuggler who enjoys the quieter side of life.
Eleanor is the playful spirit — full of energy and always ready for fun. She loves to play, explore, and then happily settle in for cuddles when she’s worn herself out.
The girls take great comfort in each other. You’ll often find them snuggled together, and they quickly worry if they can’t see where the other one is. Because of this special bond, they must be adopted as a pair.
Thanks to the generosity of Midwest Companies , their adoption fee has been fully sponsored — now all that’s missing is a loving home willing to give them the safety, patience, and lifelong love they truly deserve.
After everything they’ve endured, Mathilda and Eleanor are ready for a future filled with soft beds, full bellies, and people who will never let them down again.
Could your home be the happy ending these sisters have been waiting for?
