DESCRIPTION
This darling pup is about a year old, pit mix. Her name is Zara. She weighs about 55 lbs
I was asked by a family member if I could help this dog because she was being neglected. Tied in the yard for hours without food or water or kept confined to the kitchen. She got little to no attention. She is house trained via a dog door, has not chewed or destroyed anything in my house, she gets along with other dogs and she is cat curious. My cats put her in her place if she gets too close. She is starved for attention and human interaction. She listens very well, but cowers if you raise your voice at her, which makes me think she was being hit while she was being yelled at. She does need to learn some manners, she does jump up on you and wants to sit on you if you are sitting. My ideal home for Zara would be the only pet so she can get all the attention.
