Meet Velma!

This lovely girl came to B&B from a local shelter! Oh sweet, Velma girl! She is so loving, indifferent about toys, bones and treats, she loves when you sit on the ground with her to give her pets and letting her sit in your lap! She is good on her leash, will sit/lay down to even put her leash on! She is a little nervous around other dogs right now and even a little nervous of the stairs in her foster home! She is potty trained and just the sweetest girl. She even met some cats recently and did well!

Velma is heartworm positive and undergoing treatments. Heartworm is a curable disease and Velmas treatment is covered by B&B!

Velma is being fostered in Richmond, VA. She is spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate vaccinations and cost of care while in foster. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dogs age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
