Hi… my name is Gambino. 🐾

I’m only 1 year old, and I already know what it feels like to be left behind.

I was abandoned on the streets of Los Angeles. I ran through traffic, searched for food wherever I could, and waited for someone to come back for me. Nobody did.

Then I ended up in the shelter.

I was so scared there that I stopped eating. Every day I got thinner and sadder. Eventually, they put me on the euthanasia list.

But a nice family saved me. They reminded me that humans can be kind. They helped me gain weight back, taught me I was safe, and let me sleep without being afraid.

I finally started wagging my tail again. 💛

But now I need somewhere new to go because their resident dog isn’t comfortable with me, and they can’t keep me long term.

Please don’t let me go back to a kennel.

I don’t do well in boarding environments. I get scared and shut down again. I just need a quiet place, soft voices, and someone who will let me feel safe.

Here’s what I can promise if you give me a chance:
🐶 I’ll make you laugh throwing my toys around the yard
🐶 I’ll happily go on sniffy walks with you
🐶 I know “sit” and “shake”
🐶 I’m house trained
🐶 I’m great with kids
🐶 I’ll be your little shadow and best friend

I’m only 52 pounds, but my heart is really big.

I don’t need perfect. I just need someone.
