🇺🇸
Middletown, New York

male, medium, senior
DESCRIPTION
Gump was incredibly fearful of new people, sounds, and environments when he first arrived at Pets Alive, and his instinct to run away from them always used to win. Thanks to our Kennel Staff and Dog Walking Volunteers' dedication, Gump is armed with more confidence today than we ever thought possible. These days, Gump goes for long strolls in the woods and gives gentle kisses to the friends he knows well. His circle of trust is small, but he gets braver every single week.
We'll be honest: Gump isn't the right fit for every household. He's a quiet guy who would do best as the only pet. Gump isn't looking for a large family to fold into and would do best as the only pet in a mellow household as he transitions to the good life!
If you have the patience and extra love and are interested in Gump please fill out an application with Pets Alive in Middletown NY to schedule an appointment to come meet him!

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction. Recognized for their strength and agility, these dogs require regular exercise and mental stimulation to channel their energy positively, reinforcing their reputation as devoted and trainable pets.
