Max is a handsome ~2-year-old pittie mix (possibly with a little heeler!) who’s ready to find his forever home. This sweet boy showed up on April 1st with no collar, no microchip, and no one has come forward to claim him. Since then, his kind finders have cared for him, but with several dogs already, they’re hoping to help Max land the loving home he truly deserves.

The basics:

Fully vetted and up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
Good with other dogs, chickens, and cows
Cats: unknown
Has briefly met a child and did well, but hasn’t lived with kids full-time

Max is an affectionate, happy-go-lucky guy who absolutely *loves* attention. He’s a total cuddle bug and a people pleaser at heart. He knows basic commands and is eager to make his humans proud.

Home life:
Max has been living outdoors but clearly wants to be inside with his people. Because of this, we’re not sure if he’s potty or kennel trained, so he’ll need a patient family willing to help him adjust to indoor life. The good news? He’s smart, responsive, and already respects boundaries like an underground fence. He stays close to home and enjoys tagging along for adventures around the farm or field.

Max may have been left behind on April Fool’s Day—but there’s nothing funny about how special he is. He’s the real deal: loyal, loving, and ready to be someone’s constant companion.
