Hi, my name is Cait! True to my pittie nature, I am very sweet and affectionate. I love to snuggle up and always be by my human's side! When I can't be by their side, I do a very good job waiting in my kennel until they return. If they don't put me in my kennel when they leave, my foster mom says I still do a very good job, but I could get bored or frustrated and I might accidentally confuse a nearby object as a toy. A couple of times I tore into a cardboard box nearby... I sure do love ripping apart cardboard! Oh, same with tennis balls! I LOVE tennis balls. I love chasing them and eventually pulling them apart too! While tennis balls are obviously the best, I also love stuffies. I start off really gentle with them and love to carry them around with me for awhile. After a bit of time though, I can't help but get to the stuffing and squeaker inside! My foster parents will give me reminders to be gentle, but I think searching for that squeaker is good mental work :)
Being gentle when I play is something I am definitely working on! I forget how strong I can be! My foster sister is really nice and a lot of fun to play with so she has really helped me practice being gentle when I play with another dog. I have a foster brother as well, but he's a little bit older and doesn't play as much so most of our interactions are on walks or if we are resting in the same room. It is nice having other dogs in my foster home, but I wouldn't mind being the only dog as well. More 1:1 cuddle & play time with the humans is fine by me! My foster parents also have two cats. I sure am curious about those kitties... especially when they are playing! I've chased them a couple times, but other than that, I do a good job letting them be! My foster mom still likes to give me reminders though just in case. And I aim to please so I am a really good listener! Plus, the more time I've spent in my foster home, the easier it has become... I'm taking it all in and learning as much as I can!
My foster parents said I must not have gotten much training before because I did not know basic commands. Although I have now mastered "sit"! I am still working on "down", "stay", and "off". I sometimes get confused, but I'm working really hard to learn! Again, I'm a total people pleaser :)
Hmm, what else should I share about myself?! I do really well off leash as I like to stay by my humans, but enjoy our leashed walks around the neighborhood too. I'm a very gentle walker... slow and steady wins the race! I will keep up with my foster sister for a little while, but I like to take my time and take it all in too. I am potty trained, but still have had the occasional accident since my spay surgery. This is continuing to improve though!
My foster parents are really proud of how hard I work to learn everything! Especially in the short time I have been in my foster home. They often tell me that I am such a good girl, the absolute sweetest, and foster mom always compliments my kind eyes.
I'm sure there is more I could share, but I'll just save that for when we meet in person! I can't wait to find my forever family to play with and to find my permanent cuddle spot on their couch.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
