Louie is a gentle, sensitive soul who is looking for a quiet environment where he can continue to build his confidence. While he may be shy at first, he is a deeply affectionate dog who truly blossoms once he feels safe. He is currently in a foster home learning how to "just be a dog," and he is ready to find a permanent home that will offer him the patience and love he deserves. His favorite activities are chasing a tennis ball, sitting on the couch with his people, and trying to befriend the cats of the house.

He is still working on house training.

The ideal match for Louie is an adopter who understands that trust is earned over time. He needs someone who will enjoy his quiet companionship and provide him with a secure "home base" where he can truly relax. If provided with a soft couch and a little bit of patience, Louie will be a devoted best friend for life.



Animal is Fostered in: Kansasville, WI and able to go home on or after 4/25/26

He is scheduled for alteration on 4/21/26. If adopted prior to this date, adopter will sign an alteration contract and submit a $100 reimbursable deposit at the time of alteration. We ask that the deposit be in the form of a CHECK. Adopter will be expected to bring the animal to this surgery appointment on day, time and at location scheduled. If the adopter fails to bring to date of surgery, the deposit will NOT be refunded. We value the time our Veterinarian's provide us. We are charged a fee for cancellations or no show appointments. Spay/Neuter (unless medically unable at time of adoption, in which case this will be discussed)

Heartworm Testing (dogs); FELV/FIV Testing (cats)

Age appropriate CORE vaccines. Dhpp, Rabies (if old enough)-dog; CVR, Rabies (if old enough) - cat - WE DO NOT ADMINISTER BORDETELLA unless indicated. PLEASE NOTE- puppies and kittens may need to complete vaccination schedule depending on age at time of adoption.

Dewormed

All breeds are best guess from veterinarian based on physical exam. All animals come from high kill shelters with poor access to resources. Once they arrive to our rescue they are quarantined for health purposes and spoiled in loving foster homes until their forever home is found! Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.
