About me:

I am a sweet, adorable, happy little guy who likes to be where you are, but I will also go find a comfy spot when it’s time to have a nap. I’m one smart cookie! I know sit, paw, down, flip over, spin, stay/wait, no, come, this way, kennel, and leave it. I am potty-trained and will go to the door if I need to go before my foster mom takes me out. I was once crate trained, but then I wasn’t for several years, so now we are working on that again. I am a very good boy at night now. As long as I am in the bedroom with my people and dog friends, I don’t make a peep anymore. We are working on building my stamina during the day when I am alone in the kitchen in my crate while everyone else is in another room, and I’m doing well! I live with my new friends, Piper, who is almost 12 and weighs 12 pounds, and Marty, who is two and weighs 55 pounds. I was the only dog before coming to live with my foster, and Piper isn’t interested in playing and Marty is, but doesn’t know her own strength, so my foster mom doesn’t really know how playful I am, but we all get along well. Sometimes I like to act like the boss, but my foster mom doesn’t put up with that! I don’t have a fence at my foster home, but they have a huge yard, and when I go outside, I get to run around and sniff all the good smells on the long lead, and I love that! I’m a good snuggler and very loving. I’ll even be your bathroom buddy, as my new friends have taught me how my foster mom loves it when we keep her company in there! I do like to bark when someone comes to the door or if I think someone is at the door, but I have gotten a little better with this. I settle down once the door is answered, but then I am so excited to have company that I jump up, but my foster mom is working on that with me, too. I also get overly excited when meeting new dogs outside of the home. I’ve been to two obedience classes so far, and I’m learning how to control and handle my excitement. My trainer and foster mom are very impressed with my progress and are going to keep working with me so I can be a super star at making new friends! I have a couple of more classes and depending on how it goes I may need to keep working on a few things, and my new family would have to be willing to continue my training. I would be happy to be the only dog and get all the love or would enjoy having a friend who may or may not be into playing. Maybe we would just hang and provide emotional support! If I’m going to be home alone often I would probably do best with a dog friend. I would love to find a forever family of my own who will love me and keep working with me to help me be my best self! I will do my part by giving kisses, being a cuddle buddy, and being your best friend! I’ll be waiting to meet you!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
