Hello! My name is Patty and I am a four-year-old girl that has lived a lot of life in my four years... I was fortunate to find people to love and take care of me while I took care of my puppies. Now that my puppies are ready for their forever homes, I am also looking for mine.
My foster dad tells me that my superpower is my incredibly cute stare with my beautiful, big brown eyes. While I am still a bit shy and timid when meeting new people, I love our walks and meeting the new neighbors. My furry foster brother is much larger than me, but I am slowly getting used to him and his big, clumsy ways.
We are working on getting more acquainted with my crate for those short instances where my foster dad is running errands, but I am very well house trained and let him know when I want to go outside. I love our "sniff" walks throughout the day, but honestly, I am most happy if I can just be close to you and laying at your feet.
I previously lived in a home with cats but have not had any in my home recently. I also haven't been around small children - just puppies so far. Though I am Heartworm positive, we are working on that currently. My happiness is contagious; the Heartworm is not.
Positive energy, happiness and exuberance - that's me!
***FOSTER TO ADOPT***
Patty is heartworm positive and not yet spayed. She is currently going through heartworm treatment. Once her treatment is complete, it is the responsibility of the adoptive family to get a microfilaria test 30 days after treatment for a preliminary result. Then, a heartworm test 9 months after treatment for final results. During treatment, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise until she receives a negative microfilaria test. Patty will also need continued use of monthly heartworm preventives going forward. This will all be covered by Warrior Dog until her last injection. Any other medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. Once she receives a negative result on her microfilaria test she will need to be spayed. The adoption can be finalized once treatment in complete and she is spayed.
If you are interested in adopting Patty, please fill out an adoption application.
