Hi, I'm Rambo... and yes, I know my name sounds intense, but I'm actually the calmest, sleepiest little guy you'll ever meet.

I enjoy the simple things in life: soft places to nap, gentle walks, and occasionally supervising the world from a comfy spot on the deck. I do like to play and run a bit, but my real favorite place is right on your lap.

I get along well with other dogs, but I'll be honest-I'd usually rather be with my person. I ignore cats and my sweet nature makes me good with kids too.

I'd thrive in a quieter home with a relaxed pace-nothing too hectic, just enough activity to get my daily walks and zooms in. I do well on a leash and would also love a fenced-in yard, but it's not required as long as I get my outings.

Car rides are one of my favorite things! I love sitting by the window, watching the world go by, and taking my job as Neighborhood Watch very seriously. This is also when my little Chihuahua side comes out-don't let my size fool you, I've got a big bark for a little body, but I only use it to let you know someone is nearby.

I'm potty trained, I always go to the door when I need to go out, and I've had zero accidents in the house. I also do great in a kennel, but I can be left out to roam because I don't get into things-I'm a very trustworthy little guy.

Feb. 8 I did have a tractor accident when I was jumping off, and my leg got caught and I dislocated my hip. I had to have FHO surgery, but you would never even know it. I am doing amazing. (Yes, I have an adventurous side that got me in trouble).

In short: I may be named Rambo, but I'm really just a gentle, snuggly, sleepy boy looking for a calm home and a warm lap.

Attention: Rambo is currently going through heartworm treatment and gets his first heartworm treatment injection on June 5. He will get 2 more injections a month later and will be retested a month after his last injection. During this time, he will need to be very calm. Leash walks only. He is currently getting heartworm treatment at Byron vet clinic. Rambo can be foster to adopt if you agree to follow his heartworm treatment plan and bring him to his appointments.
