Hi, I'm Barney-and I'm basically a professional wrestler in a tiny body. I love to play, wrestle, and zoom around like I've got somewhere very important to be (even if I don't). I may have some doxy in me with my little, short legs and long body. I am 13.8 lbs of love baby.

I'm about 2 years old, but my foster mom thinks I might actually be younger because I've still got full puppy energy and charm. When I'm not bouncing around the yard at lightning speed, I'm a total snuggler... I just need a little help remembering when playtime is over and bedtime begins.

I get along great with dogs of all sizes, and I definitely think I'm bigger than I actually am. Confidence? 10/10.

I'm potty trained and I know to sit by the door when I need to go out. I also do well on a leash and I'm crate trained, so I'm already off to a great start!

I ignore the cats and have been good with kids that I meet. I'm an all-around friendly little guy with a big heart and even bigger energy.

My dream home? An active one where I can go on walks, play often, and get my zoomies out. A fenced-in yard would be amazing for my adventurous spirit, but it's not required-as long as I get plenty of exercise and love.

I was found in Oklahoma with Fred and Wilma, and after spending time in a kill shelter, I'm finally safe and ready for my next chapter.

I'm just a little guy with a big personality-and I'm ready to be someone's whole world. Who could resist these eyes?

Attention: Barney is currently going through heartworm treatment and gets his first heartworm treatment injection on June 5. He will get 2 more injections a month later and will be retested a month after his last injection. During this time, he will need to be very calm. Leash walks only. He is currently getting heartworm treatment at Byron vet clinic. Barney can be foster to adopt if you agree to follow his heartworm treatment plan and bring him to his appointments.
