DESCRIPTION
Freddy is a sweet 8-year-old good boy who has officially retired from his puppy mischief days and is now a pro at relaxing, snuggling, and being an all-around great companion. He still enjoys his daily walks & playtime (tennis balls are his JAM), but he’s happiest just hanging out with his people. Think of him as the perfect mix of chill and charm. Freddy is sweet, but he's getting more and more anxious & stressed at the shelter as the days go on. He would do well in a quieter household where he can enjoy a stable routine and plenty of companionship.
He may be a bit anxious around new people, but with patience and a slow introduction, he warms up nicely. He’s also working on resource guarding with his toys, so he’ll benefit from an adopter willing to continue training and is confident with setting clear boundaries using positive reinforcement. In the right home, he’ll thrive as a devoted and steady companion. He's eager to learn & a loyal boy. A bit more about Freddy:
- 8 years old & weighs 72 pounds
-Very affectionate boy, needs time to warm up initially. Allow him to take things at his pace.
-He has not liked the company of other dogs. Would do best as the only dog in your home.
-No knowledge on how he does with cats
-Suggested for children aged 12 years & up due to his instances of resource guarding & overall anxiety
-Knows his basic commands (sit, down, shake)
-Seems to be potty trained
-Neutered, vaccinated & microchipped

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
