My name is Brenda, and I’m a three-year-old girl with a big heart, a wagging tail, and a whole lot of hope for the future. Not long ago, I was wandering on my own, unsure of where to go or who to trust, until a kind officer found me and brought me somewhere safe. The people here don’t know much about my past, but they’ve gotten to know me, and I think that’s what really matters.

What they’ve learned is that I’m always excited to see you. Truly—every time someone walks up, my whole body lights up. I love going for walks and I try my best to stay right by your side, though sometimes my enthusiasm gets the better of me. A little practice and some patience, and I know I’ll make you proud.

When it comes to other dogs, I can be a bit shy at first. New faces make me nervous, but if you give me a little time, I warm up and start to feel comfortable. If you already have a dog at home, I’d love to meet them so we can get to know each other before I join the family.
