Chewy - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Lansing, Michigan

CHEWY

Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Lansing, Michigan
June 6th
male, large, senior

DESCRIPTION

Meet Chewy! He is a 7-year-old handsome large-sized boy, weighing around 80 pounds, whos ready to find a loving home to call his own. Chewy came to us when he was not the right fit for his previous home, and hes been patiently waiting since May 5th, 2026 for his fresh start.

Chewy is a sweet, affectionate, and playful boy who truly enjoys the good things in lifeplaying, swimming, and cuddling with his favorite people. He has a fun-loving personality and is just as happy going on adventures as he is relaxing by your side for some quiet time.

Because of his size, Chewy can sometimes be unaware of how big he is, so he will do best with adopters who are physically able to handle a large, strong dog. He may be a good fit for a home with older children if there are kids in the household, and all family members should meet him prior to adoption to ensure a good match.

Chewy has done well with other dogs here at the shelter, and a meet and greet with any resident dogs is recommended prior to adoption to help ensure a smooth transition. Chewy is looking for a cat-free home where he can feel successful and relaxed.

Chewy is a wonderful, loving boy who is ready to bring joy, companionship, and plenty of tail wags to the right home.

Chewy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If youre interested in meeting Chewy or learning more, please reach out to an adoption counselor by phone at (517) 626-6060 or email at adoptions@adoptlansing.org.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
