VICTOR

🇺🇸
Ellijay, Georgia
April 30th
male, small, baby

DESCRIPTION

Victor is a handsome brindle, resilient, high-energy puppy with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. He's spirited, smart, loyal, people-oriented, and absolutely thrives when he's part of an active, engaged home.

Let's be upfront - This boy is what we lovingly call an energizer bunny on overdrive. He needs daily physical exercise and mental stimulation to feel balanced and happy. Think long walks, hikes, active play sessions, exploring the outdoors, and plenty of room to run and sniff. A fenced yard is strongly preferred so he can safely burn off energy.

Victor LOVES to play--and he plays hard. Tug-of-war, fetch, squeaky toys, and "deconstructing" stuffed animals are his specialties. He also enjoys enrichment like lick mats (peanut butter or yogurt are favorites!) and is very particular about his beloved Dino chews. But his very favorite activity, is rough-housing with his "stuffed" life-size best buddy, Walter.

Because of his size, strength, and enthusiasm, Victor is still learning how to manage his excitement. He can get mouthy (puppy nipping, grabbing clothing) and is actively working on commands like "leave it." He may bark loudly when overstimulated, and while it can sound intimidating, it's simply his way of expressing big feelings he's still learning to regulate.

Victor's ideal home:

🐾Active individuals or a family who enjoy outdoor adventures
🐾Someone committed to ongoing training and structure (he's very smart and eager to learn!)
🐾A home with a secure fenced yard preferred
🐾People who understand large, high-energy puppies and are ready to guide him through this stage

Not the right fit for Victor:

🐾Homes with small children (his size and energy can be overwhelming)
🐾Low-activity or mostly sedentary households
🐾Homes with small or low-energy dogs--he can be too much for them right now

Underneath all that energy, Victor is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, and devoted dog. He forms strong bonds with his people and wants nothing more than to be close to his "pack." His joy to see you each and every time is just pure love. One of his most endearing qualities? When he gets over-excited, the surest way to calm him is to pick him up and rock him in your arms like a baby. He melts into you, snuggling into your neck, soaking up reassurance, and reminding you he's still just a puppy trying to feel safe in the world.

He settles well in his designated space both at home and riding in the car. He walks well on a leash (other than occasionally trying to chew it) and is almost all the way potty trained (just occasional pad accidents).

With some additional guidance, patience and love, Victor is going to be an incredible companion: Devoted, loyal, affectionate, smart, active and adventure-loving.

If you're ready to invest in his future, Victor will give you his everything! He doesn't know any other way.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
