DESCRIPTION
Hi, my name is Stitch, and I am looking for a temporary foster home!
I'm about 1 year old and weigh around 68 pounds. I recently came to the shelter after my owner could no longer afford to keep me. Before coming here, I spent most of my time outside, so life has been a little rough lately.
The good news? The staff says I'm a sweet boy who deserves a chance to heal in a loving home. I am currently being treated for Demodectic Mange, but don't worry.. I am NOT contagious to people or other pets! I just need some medicated baths, medication, and a comfy place to continue growing my fur back.
The shelter staff also suspects I may do well with cats, but that hasn't been officially confirmed yet.
I still need to be neutered, but I have to wait until my skin heals and my coat grows back enough for surgery. On top of that, I found out I'm heartworm positive. It sounds scary, but Shelby Humane will cover my treatment and provide everything needed. I just need a foster family willing to give me a safe place to rest and recover.
Can you help me? A foster home would make a huge difference in my healing journey and give me the comfort I haven't had in a long time.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
