male, large, young
DESCRIPTION
I'm a big, handsome pup with a sweet nature, playful spirit, and lots of love to give. I'm super friendly, curious, and I love everyone I meet. I've still got that puppy energy, especially in the mornings. You might even catch me doing my signature happy dance outside! I'll happily bring you my leash too... just in case you forget it's time for an adventure.
I am a toy-loving guy who can entertain myself for hours and I know my Nylabones are for chewing. I'm also housebroken, crate trained, and I know commands such as sit and stay. Plus, I love car rides and even do great with baths!
I'm a big, strong boy, so I'm currently working on my leash skills and will need a patient, confident handler to help me continue learning. Because I'm still figuring out some puppy habits (like jumping), a taller fence would be best for me right now.
My ideal home is one that will give me regular exercise, structure, and lots of love. I'm treat-motivated, eager to learn, and happiest when I'm with my people.
If you're looking for a fun, affectionate, active, and slightly goofy best friend, I'm your guy.
Colby is 1-1/2 years old and weighs 84 pounds.
Location: Foster home
Part of Colby's adoption fee is covered by a generous donor. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
