DESCRIPTION
Gramps (we call him Bentley) is a big goofy beautiful boy. He loves chasing his ball and going for car rides. He's been very good at local doggie hangouts. He is smart and food motivated--he knows sit, paw, and stay. He's housebroken. Once he gets a bit of energy out, he's pretty good on a leash and is a nice medium energy dog. He does need to be someone's BFF. He's fine being left alone if no one is home, but if you're home, he will want to be with you.
A couple other things--he could win a gold medal in counter surfing. Also, he's not really aware that's he's a large dog, so a home without small children might be best. He's capable of accidentally knocking things or people over. He gets nervous in new spaces, so he'll need time to decompress and settle. He's very playful and enjoys being around other dogs, but will need to be introduced to other dogs slowly. He would likely be just as content as an only dog.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
