Ruthie - Mixed Breed and Husky Dog for Adoption in Bethel, Vermont
RUTHIE
Mixed Breed, Husky
🇺🇸
Bethel, Vermont
June 10th
female, large, adult
DESCRIPTION
Ruthie is a wonderful dog, 2 years, 8 months old, hardly barks and is super sweet! He Foster family down south says she is the best foster ever! She is very cuddly, likes to play and is dog friendly but settles down quickly and is also just happy to be around her people and chill out. She is quickly learning not to pull on the leash but still needs a bit more training for that and is also just a bit anxious riding in a car but learning to enjoy that too! She does have a strong prey drive so a home with no small animals would probably be best for Ruthie. She loves walks and exploring nature and playing with toys and gets the zoomies regularly! Ruthie is fully housetrained (no accidents in the house) and it is learning other house etiquette like what is and is not a chew toy. Since she loves being around her people, she is a bit anxious when first left alone and may need some reassurance that she is not, once again, being left alone. Being welcomed into a home with another dog might just be enough to reassure her and stave off any separation anxiety she might otherwise have. Ruthie will be arriving in New England on June 26th and needs a safe place to welcome her. If you are interested in learning more about Ruthie and potentially fostering, fostering-to-adopt or adopting her outright, please contact villageforpawsrescue@gmail.com to inquire and to fill out an application.
ABOUT: HUSKY DOG BREED
The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
