Meet Lentil! This little guy may have an unknown past, but he’s been nothing but sweet during his time with us. Like many small dogs, Lentil can be vocal around unfamiliar people or unexpected things, and he’s got a touch of that classic “small dog complex.” Underneath it all, though, he seems to just be looking for reassurance and someone to help him feel safe and secure. Lentil would likely fit in well with most homes that can offer him patience, kindness, and lots of love as he continues to build confidence. If you're interested in meeting Lentil, please fill out an application for review.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
