Meet Nova 🖤🐾

Sergeant Nova reporting for duty! This brave little 2-month-old black retriever mix has already overcome so much in her young life. Nova came into rescue with a parasite that was affecting her eyesight, but she’s making an amazing recovery and continues to impress everyone with her resilience and determination.

Her foster family quickly nicknamed her “Sergeant Nova” because on her very first night, she army-crawled her way around the house like a tiny recruit on a mission. Since then, she’s shown just how fearless and adaptable she really is!

Nova is a confident, curious puppy who isn’t afraid to try new things. Stairs? No problem. Kennel? She’s learning! Pottying outside? She’s on it. Wherever her humans and foster brother go, Nova is right behind them, ready for the next adventure.

She loves toys, enjoys exploring the world through sniffing, and is especially interested in politely investigating the resident cat. Nova is playful, smart, and full of personality — the kind of puppy who keeps you laughing while also melting your heart.

This strong little girl is looking for a forever home ready to cheer her on as she continues to grow, learn, and thrive. 🐶✨

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, or scheduled to be if they arrived in our care too young. Each dog has been seen by our veterinarian and treated for likely the following (all various): Age appropriate vaccines, overall health exam and other alignments as they come up. All dogs are dewormed, given core vaccines (Bordetella, DHPP (3 of them if a puppy) and Rabies as well as all are microchipped and on a monthly preventative for flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

All of our animals are placed into foster homes so they thrive and the transition is easier.
