BIO:
- Lab/Husky Mix, 1 yr and 5 months, Male (neutered)
- Medium, 48 lbs, High-energy
- He is from Cat Lake, transported by Northern Connection Dog Rescue
- Rocko is house-trained, microchipped and has his core vaccinations
ABOUT ROCCO:
- Rocko is an extremely friendly dog who loves playing and being around people
- He is generally good on leash, though he can pull when excited
- Rocko is very social and has enjoyed walks and active playtime with other dogs while in the shelter
- He can become jumpy when overstimulated and has shown some prey drive to squirrels on a walk, leash manners training and helping him to focus would be ideal.
- He is smart and quickly learns new skills
ROCCOS IDEAL HOME:
- Rocko would thrive in an active home that can provide plenty of exercise, structure, and mental enrichment
- He would do best with someone experienced with energetic dogs and committed to ongoing training
- A shared-wall situation may be okay, Rocko is more of a gentle communicator than a barker
- Because of his excitement level any children in the home should be comfortable around large, active dogs
- He would be best in a home with no cat
- Rocko could live with a well-matched canine companion. If his potential adopter has a dog, we will arrange for a meet and greet
