Meet Coca
Coca is a beautiful 3-year-old yellow Lab weighing in at about 60 pounds of pure love. She came into rescue after being found wandering, and although she had a microchip, her previous owners chose not to take her back. Their loss is truly someone else’s gain—because Coca is an absolute gem. This sweet girl is the definition of a “velcro dog”—she just wants to be near her people at all times. Whether you’re on the couch, in the kitchen, or heading to bed, Coca will happily be right by your side, soaking up every moment together. Coca gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, making her an easy addition to many types of homes. She’s fully housebroken, with only the occasional little excited or submissive pee when her emotions get the best of her (she just loves that much!). She walks fairly well on a leash but could benefit from a bit of continued practice to polish her skills. She does fine in a crate if needed, though she’d much rather be left out where she can relax and wait for you like the loyal companion she is. If you’re looking for a loving, devoted best friend who will stick by your side through everything, Coca is ready to fill that role—and your heart—completely.
All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped.
The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
