DESCRIPTION

Meet Ed! 🐾

Ed is a 5-year-old terrier mix who came to us as a stray. Sadly, no one came looking for him. Situations like this are always hard because we may never know what his life looked like before arriving at the shelter or what kind of home he came from.

What we do know is that Ed is a very nice boy, appears to be housebroken, and is willing to learn. He has been gentle with staff and has quickly proven himself to be quite the photogenic little gentleman in front of the camera. 📸

As we continue getting to know him, we'll learn more about what type of home will help him thrive. For now, Ed is simply looking for kindness, patience, and someone willing to give him a fresh start. All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Dogs are tested for heartworm. A minimum adoption fee of $185 is required for adult dogs, puppy adoption fees start $300, and dogs over the age of 10 are $100. Adult cat adoption fees are $85, kittens under one year are $135, and cats over the age of 10 are $50.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
