Meet Biscuit.
He's six years old, a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix, and Chowder's littermate brother. Same age, same scrappy little build, completely different look where Chowder is brown and white, Biscuit is crisp black and white with little dark eye patches, like he was born wearing a tiny bandit mask.
He is crate trained and great in cars
Biscuit is the quieter, more sensitive one. He's had a harder start, and he's still figuring some things out.
Before he came into rescue, Biscuit spent most of his life shut in a room. No yard, no walks, not much of an outdoors at all. So when he finally got out, everything was new to him and pretty overwhelming. He was especially scared of people. Not aggressive, just scared, the way a dog is when he hasn't had much reason to trust anyone.
He's come a long way. He's a different dog now than the one who first came into foster more relaxed, more curious, more willing to trust. But he's still on the sensitive side, especially compared to his brother. He's clingy. He likes to know where his person is at all times.
Once Biscuit trusts you, he sticks. He follows you around the house. He wants to be near you when you're sitting down, near you when you're moving around, near you basically always. He's a velcro dog, and he means it.
His clinginess is actually what makes him a great off-leash dog. He doesn't want to wander off from his person. He sticks close and checks in. So if you're someone who likes trails or off-leash beaches, he can absolutely come with you a lot of small-dog adopters don't realize a dog like Biscuit is an option for that kind of lifestyle, but he is.
He gets along well with other dogs. He's calm and easy, not a center-of-attention guy
With new people, he still needs time. He's not going to jump into a stranger's lap. He wants to know you first. But once he warms up, he warms up all the way and that's when you see who he really is.
.
He had a rough start, and he's already come a long way in foster. Now he is ready for a forever home
