Zoey is ready to find her forever home! This sweet angel hasn't exactly had the easiest start to life. Shes only about a year and a half old and most of that time was spent living on a tiny back deck. Transitioning to her foster home was challenging. With lots of patience, we have been working through whatever trauma she came with. She has come so far learning to trust humans again and you wouldn't even believe she's the same dog today from the one that first arrived!
Zoey is such a good girl! She is quiet in her kennel and keeps it clean. She is potty trained and will use a bell to let you know when she needs to go out. If you know huskies, you know they can sometimes be escape artists, however, Zoey has never attempted to jump the 4ft fence in her foster home!
Some of Zoey's favorite things to do include playing with toys (she LOVES her toys), and running and playing with other dogs! She would love to find a home with another dog to play with, but it's not a requirement as long as you have a plan to keep her active. She does well with kids too - just keep in mind to go slow with introductions and teach kiddos to respect her boundaries since she is still learning to trust humans. She hasn't been cat tested.
Zoey is very affectionate. She loves hanging out wherever you are and she loves attention, whether that is snuggling up with you on the couch, or sitting on your feet while she leans up against you hoping for some head scratches.
Zoey is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and ready to go to her new home! She is going to be an amazing addition to one lucky family. If you think that might be you, you can apply for her at pawsitivetsilskc.org.
