Minnie is a 5 yo spay female husky weighing 45-50lbs. This poor girl was dumped off at a busy city shelter with a high kill rate because the family did not care for her! First she went through heartworm treatment as she was heartworm positive. She did great with treatment no complications and is now heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm prevention. She had benign mammary tumors most likely from over breeding so she was spay and then all mammary tumors were removed and all were benign no cancer issues. She actually perked up and started feeling better and started to play and interact with other dogs. She went to a temporary foster before she came to her current foster just due to space issues. She has been doing great in her foster home. She is up to date on all her shots, crate trained, and potty trained.
She plays with medium and large dogs both males and females. She is not a dominant female. It has been reported that she is not a fan of little dogs or of cats. She has zero anxiety with car rides and new adventures. She loves absolutely loves walks on a leash and does well with just leash walking— no pulling or escaping on leash walking. She knows her basic commands. She is an absolute love with her favorites being cuddling on the couch, ear and belly rubs, and leisurely walks around the neighborhood. She is NOT AN APARTMENT DOG and would NEED A FENCED YARD. She can sometimes be a little head shy until she gets to know you and then is a total love pushing against you for pets! Her ideal forever home could be as a solo dog or with a doggie buddy either way as long as she is included in day to day family life. She would do well with a couple or single person or family with children that know how to behave with a dog! She is a gorgeous gal with her one blue eye and one brown eye and her beautiful soft black and white fur.
We love her and she is in need of her forever home! Could that be your family?
On behalf of Karen Perl, the adoption fee is $350. Transport can be arranged after the adoption is finalized. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee will remain the same. Thank you so much for your valuable support in helping these dogs find loving homes.
