Hopper - Hound and Labrador Retriever Dog Available for Adoption in Elmwood, Louisiana

Hi there! I'm Hopper, and I'm so excited to meet you! I am smiling ear to ear as I finished my heartworm treatment. I am this year's official CCC10k dog. They are running for me and for dogs just like me who need a little more care before getting their forever homes. I am feeling good and ready to run to the rescue. I am training for the CCC and wearing my old medal as I am getting ready to run home to you!
I might be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, you'll see just how sweet and lovable I am. I take my time to explore new places, but don't worry--I'm just figuring things out at my own pace.

One of my favorite things in the world is car rides. There's nothing like the wind in my fur and the open road ahead! I also absolutely adore ear rubs--they make me feel like the happiest pup around.

Here's a fun fact about me: My genetic test came back showing I'm half kangaroo, which is where my cool name, Hopper, comes from! Lol 🦘 So, if you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with a bit of a unique twist, I'm your guy. Can't wait to start our adventures together!

I am housebroken and crate-trained. I pick up on commands very quickly and am eager to please! I'd love to meet you and see if we are a good fit!

Adoption Fees:

Dogs:

Puppies under 1 year - $300-$350
Adult dogs (1 - 7 years) - $250
Seniors (8 years and older) - $200
Bulldogs, Standard Poodles and Dachshunds $350


Cats:

Adults (1 year and older) - 1 for $125 / 2 for $200
Kittens (under 1 year) - 1 for $175 / 2 for $225

For all animals that have not been spayed or neutered a $100 deposit will be required in addition to the adoption fee. The deposit is refundable upon completion of the spay / neuter surgery.
