Mistletoe demonstrated severe fear and under socialization and required specialized treatment at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center (BRC). After receiving critical care from the ASPCA. Mistletoe graduated from the program and is now in the care of Fluvanna SPCA and ready for a loving adopter!
Mistletoe can still be a little cautious when meeting new people, often showing interest by approaching with a wagging tail before stepping back to assess the situation. Once given a little time and patience, they warm up quickly and become much more comfortable. A fun walk, high-value treats, or the company of a friendly dog can help build confidence and make introductions even smoother.
She's a wiggly ball of excitement around other dogs - bouncing, running and playing with them. She plays well with dogs of all sizes and recovers quickly from accidental tumbles.
She's an overall engaging dog who loves to play with toys, people and dogs and is a play-hard, nap-hard gal!
