Our lovely sweetheart Edith is ready for adoption. This chubby senior came to us from a local shelter after being confiscated due to neglect. Ediths coat was covered in urine-soaked mats and we quickly discovered why...she had a bladder stone the size of an egg. The poor girl had been in terrible pain and suffering with a severe urinary tract infection for months or maybe even years. Thankfully our vet was able to surgically remove the bladder stone and after some heavy duty antibiotics and pain medication, Edith is feeling so much better now. She will require prescription dog food to prevent bladder stones from recurring in the future but aside from that she is a healthy, happy girl. She got a dental cleaning today so her teeth are all shiny and strong. Edith currently weighs 20 lbs but she is a tad overweight. We think Edith is a Havanese mix so her ideal weight would be more around fifteen pounds. She would love to be adopted by someone who will take her for walks and help her cut back on her cookie intake. Her coat had to be shaved at intake but its growing back in nicely and she will be extra cute when she fluffs back out. Edith gets along fine with the other dogs in her foster home but she would be just as happy as an only pet. Her true love is humans and she is as loyal as they come.
Edith is fully vetted -- spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations and deworming. The adoption fee is $300. We accept payment in the form of cash, CashApp and Zelle. You can apply to adopt at https://sohfga.com/dog-adoption-application/.
