Flash is a 6!month-old brown merle Great Dane mix with the goofiest personality and the sweetest soul. This giant puppy is overflowing with love and just wants to be close to his people. If you sit down, expect him to immediately roll over for belly rubs while showering you with kisses. He is affectionate, playful, silly, and has the most bashful, submissive personality that makes everyone fall in love with him.

Flash is wonderful with people and great with kids. He takes treats very gently and truly has the temperament to become an incredible family dog. He rides great in the car, is crate trained, and keeps his crate clean like a gentleman.

Because he’s still a young, energetic boy, Flash would thrive in a home with another playful dog to help him burn off energy and build confidence. He absolutely loves canine companionship and would do amazing with a furry sibling to wrestle and play with. After some playtime, he’s happiest cuddling up with his humans.

Flash is still learning leash manners and can pull and zigzag from excitement, so he will need continued training and would benefit from a prong collar or gentle leader at first. With consistency, patience, and maturity, he’s going to blossom into an amazing companion.

His story is heartbreaking but beautiful. Flash entered the shelter with his sister… and a turtle. His sister was adopted, but Flash was left behind and ended up on the euthanasia list. We rescued him on his final day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. We even rescued the turtle too and safely released him to a sanctuary. Now Flash gets the second chance he always deserved.

Flash is incredibly lucky to be alive, and now he’s searching for the forever person or family who will love him for the rest of his life. In return, he promises endless loyalty, laughter, cuddles, kisses, and unconditional love.
